Short poems on Waiting and Thoughts

Reflection of Thoughts:
Life is nothing but what you think

you think in yellow, it never looks pink

everybody knows,but used by few

thoughts are great tools, they shape you.

life can be happy, life can be sad

all depends only on thoughts you had.

Life is nothing but what you think

keep this in mind,let it sink;

everybody knows, but used by few

years old saying, nothing new.

Waiting:

Someday i will win
someday i will go
someday i will do
days go by waiting so.
Everybody lives with this great hope,
someday will come?nope,nope,nope!
time goes flying silently
finally we realize terribly.
Just start doing what you plan
wait no more,think you can!
Lazy people use 'someday'
but seldom do it anyday.
Lets stop doing all the same
Lets get out of this 'waiting' game.

Happy people,stress free life

Ever imagined how life could be if there is no fear of "what they will think?".
This very phrase has killed ambitions, crushed many dreams of millions and millions of people. And so it will continue in our future generations.
There are very few people who had challenged this and proved their might- thats a seperate topic,
But then, did we ever do this to anybody? have we broken somebody's confidence?

If we are guilty of it, Then we are guilty of the crime of the worst kind.
Killing somebody's dreams is worse then murder deserving punishment of high order. This, we do unknowingly and that too sometimes to people we love the most.If we can keep our relationships simple and clear with people we reduce half of the world's worry.
Dont Judge people:
Many times we see people with a prejudiced opinion.Even before they say or do anything we know what counter action ours will be.We seldom give them a chance. This always increases the tension between people. Many persons who are very comfortable and perform well with others may start making mistakes in our presence-example- critising boss and employee, daughter-in-law and mom-in-law,nagging spouse etc.Its bad for both the persons involved.Nobody gains anything here and productivity and happiness is lost.
Give constructive critism:
Its not that we should leave people to get off with whatever they do so that we are helping to boost their confidence-Cant tell a sis that she is singing beautifully when all she can is shout when she plans to sing on stage.Just that we change the way we correct somebody. Tell them frankly as how to improve rather than pointing their mistakes.Give them credit when they do it as expected.I had tested this many a times successfully, latest being my babysitter.People shine in a constructive environment. They love to show you their accomplishments if you give them a nice space to grow.Try telling your wife you loved that pudding at dinner- she will love cooking for you. A everyday truth.
Keep relationships simple:
Many a times people worry about things that others may think about and try to avoid, try to out do etc.Making it totally a mess.We cannot say we understand a person unless we understand them from their perspective. That is very complex. So why not stop doing all the understanding,mis-understanding etc.. and keep it simple.Just keep it simple- Ask straight, answer straight and do what is to be done harmoniously.
Work for the given situation:
Deal with people for the moment, at any given situation.Dont connect past or future, history or philosophy to it.
Mind ur words:
Never say "you are always like that","you are such a loser" etc.Thats like poisoning them.We do it without our knowledge- mainly to our siblings, spouses and children.Be careful there.

For me,i love people,I try best never to wound anybody's confidence, never to laugh at anybody's dream. If asked i try to give constructive critism. Not that i go about praising everybody- I just try to find whats good in any given situationand if i critise i put a positive tone to it.Flip side of it people get too comfortable with u and take u for granted- it can be handled gracefully and corrected. But up side, we will have very loyal friends, devoted collegues and a very happy family.Sum it- thats paradise!
Its my opinion. My way of doing something good to the people i love.If you have another way of achieving the same, give me a shout.I would love to learn and its very important skill for a happy, stress-free life.

Winning over tragedies

Life is no bed of roses, The long haul called life goes through bright sunny days and dark stromy nightseverybody has to go through it like it or not. Loss of loved ones, property, organs or limbs as in accident, public embarrassment, failure in love, business etc have the ability to pull us down and leave us
emotionally and mentally weak. Sometimes they rob us of all dreams and hopes which are the basic building blocks of life.Once robbed of our basic abilities it takes years even lifetime to reach where we left- The mental damage is far worse than any physical damage. As with any life circumstances, being prepared to cope with big tragedies in life goes a long way in leading a balanced, peaceful life.
here are some means of help-
1.Cry out your heart: Give vent to your feelings. Pain is as needed to our soul as happiness.Going through the pain strengthens our mental fort.Once the feelings flow out of us, we slowly can see what we can salvage.
2.Get out of the environment- Seeing the scene day-by-day tend to overwhelm us with sad thoughts. We need to get away from the environment as quickly
as possible.Either travel somewhere to calmer space, shift place or re-arrange stuff in a totally different way so that the scene of pain disappears from our
mind.
3.Get into some intense activity- start playing sports with lots of physical activity even sex helps. An idle mind is the devil's workshop.Worst way is to pileup
loads of work and give no time to the painful memories. In a way it works well.
4.Start some exciting activity- Did u wanted to join a dance class? a sports club? a dating forum? a swimming contest? go bunge jumping? everybody have
their own list which we never had time to do. Doing it now helps. Key is the excitement will wipe clean if not completely the scars of the pain.
5.Satisfy all your small desires- indulge- Small sparks of happiness can easily trigger a happy attitude sonner or later. So eat that ice-cream or chocolate,
listen to those melodious songs, sleep a bit more, laze around the TV.Eat to your heart's content.Light all those candles and have long warm baths. All stuff
that you otherwise control urself from- do it all.See these small drops fill ur cup of joy slowly.
6.Believe everything in life happens for a purpose: We need to analyse why this happened. What is the lesson that god is trying to teach us through this pain. Then raise in strength with the lesson learnt.
7.Re-direct pain into a painting, poem or a book- Its a great way.Like any emotion pain is great too and powerful. We will be amazed by how much it can do.Turn something you dont like into stuff you love.Only we humans have this great blessing. Iam a big follower of this principle.
8.Stop thinking about it- repetedly remembered stuff remain in memory always,so replace those tragic thoughts with something good.like happy times of the past or future.

Easier said than done, It needs lots of self-control to put these thoughts to work nevertheless the change they provide gives us a new lease of life.because as long as we breathe we have the duty to live, and as long as we live why not make our lifes worthwhile?

10 simple steps to great speeches

Public speaking is one area where were many of us fall short. Being able to hold everybody's attention and convincing them with your views is one skill which is the greatest asset of any individual. The secret to a great speech is confidence- lots of it.
We need to prepare ourselves before hand on the center point of our speech, our emotional stance, keywords, gestures, what image we are trying to project and not the least a glass of water. Attention should also be given to your body language and attitude. These points are elaborated below as 10 steps on how to give great speeches.to summarize-

1. Tell your audiences precisely what you want to say.
2. Keep your comment short around the five second mark and give them a definitive end.
3. Keep your cool. Be yourself.
4. Have a sip, while collecting your thoughts.
5. Leave a small pause before and after important phrases and sentences to let it sink into the audience minds.
6. Never duplicate. Try to be as original as possible.
7. Repeat yourself
8. Rehearse few gestures and include them at appropriate times
9. Smile at the appropriate moments.
10. Stress your message.Repeat your point a few times.

living abroad

Everybody says woow! you are settled abroad.
How can i explain, its real real hard!
Agreed that my life has changed,
Great is my job that keeps me engaged!
Other than that there is nothing to boost,
Everyday goes fighting loneliness ghost!

A grandmother's death
A friend's child birth
A sister's engagement
A cousin's marriage
everything is just another phonecall to me.
Years have gone but i dont know how,
Home to me is no where now.
Iam alien here, Iam alien there,
Do i belong? I dont know where!

Life to me is food without salt,
sometimes i cry as emotions cant halt!
Great are the comforts, everything here
but how i wish my people near!
Life is strange, for something's sake
giveup something,Its give and take!

Thinking of it my heart does soar,
oh my motherland, i miss it more!
Keeping my head cool is really hard
when everybody says Woow,u are settled abroad!

Some funny translations!

For people who have no experience watching language dubbed serials, here's a chance- Sometimes translating every word exactly from one language to other results in disasters, samples here! Just for fun, No intensions of hurting anybody!
These are a series of chinese signboards created specially for the olympics @ beijing

Confused to the core!

Great example of our craziness! Einstein rightly said "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former". If we relax and concentrate on what we are doing , we will spare ourselves from such laughs.

Wooow,Peace at last!

Its Possible! This world would be a great place to live if love like this prevails everyday :-)

Great Place to go!

I bet this is the best budget vacation package i ever saw! Hahaha.....

Oh man,i cant quit!

Thankgod my boss is much better! Much less crazy :-) Njoy!

Think and Grow Rich

Thoughts Are Things. The opening chapter is merely a series of anecdotes where a person’s thoughts, in various ways, resulted in real world effects, and not in the sense of a brilliant new idea, either. Instead, the focus of these tales is that of determination and desire, attributes that pretty much anyone can have.
Step 1: Desire. After the first chapter, I felt some pretty serious trepidation about the remainder of this book, so I read on with some caution, fearing that the first step in this path to success was merely to want something. Not so. Hill basically says that one should use deep desire as a goal. Is there a job you want? An amount of money you want? Define that goal clearly, then set down a specific plan to get there. In a nutshell, this isn’t really different than many of the financial planning topics I talk about on The Simple Dollar.
Step 2: Faith.By faith, Hill isn’t really referring to belief in a higher power, but instead faith that the future holds better things for you - a truly confident outlook. If you take to heart the perspective that the future holds greater things for you - or any other greater belief that you hold - then your future has a greater likelihood of holding these things. Why? They’re consistently on your mind - thus you pay more attention to the factors that will make them happen.
Step 3: Autosuggestion.Although the title of this chapter screams “scam” to me, I was surprised to find that I actually already use most of the ideas within. Basically, the idea is that if you keep repeating your plan for success to yourself, it has a greater chance of actually coming true. Why? Again, embedding a thought deeply within yourself - and repetition does the trick - increases the chance that the thought will come up at the right time when you need it. Think of it as cramming for a college exam - you study a ton hoping that the right answer will come up when you need it.
Step 4: Specialized Knowledge.Guess what? Getting an education is important, whether it’s a formal education at an institute of higher learning or merely an education at the hands of a mentor. I tend to find that finding a mentor is often really useful for figuring out exactly how to succeed in a certain area, even if you do have a strong formal education.
Step 5: Imagination.Another key element is imagination, or the ability to take a vague idea and transform it into something concrete. I think that, for many, this is one of the key stumbling blocks on their path to success. They see the goal, they see where they are at now, but they lack the imagination to construct the path between here and there. How can you do it? Break it down. Just focus on figuring out the next step, and then the step after that and the one after that…
Step 6: Organized Planning. This chapter is a large mishmash of various ideas on how you can effectively “plan” to be successful - in other words, put other pieces into place beyond just thinking about it that will lead to success. First and foremost, one should surround themselves with a team of support - people who have both knowledge of how to go down the path you want to go, but also care about helping you. Second, write a killer resume that will get you the job you need to start building towards success - Hill even recommends internships, though the language to describe it doesn’t really seem to have existed when this book was written. Third, step up to the plate often and regularly and get the job done well. Finally, practice the traits of leadership, of which Hill lists an abundance. This was a very strong chapter, one that did quite a bit to overcome the slight trepidation that I felt about many of the other chapters. I felt this chapter was key to the whole book, a reminder that in the end, your dreams do take hard work (though a good mindset helps a great deal).
Step 7: Decision. When it comes time to make decisions, make them. Don’t defer to others and don’t delay the decision. This is perhaps the biggest part of becoming a leader and a person that people will depend on and follow. It’s fine to gather information, but when the time comes, be decisive: come up with a firm decision and stick with it.
Step 8: Persistence.Persistence means that you know you’re following the right path for you and that you won’t allow a few mis-steps or stumbles along the way keep you from achieving your goal. Many people give up the first time they’re dealt a blow, but sit down sometime and read a biography of a great leader and see how many times they were knocked down - and how viciously it happens. I recently read a great biography of Winston Churchill and I was actually stunned how true this was in his life - he had a lot of missteps and at least one complete collapse (where he basically had to start again from square one) during his political career, but he was persistent about it and eventually wound up as Prime Minister. Don’t let some bumps in the road keep you from following the path, even if they seem like huge stumbling blocks that you are going to have incredible difficulty surpassing.
Step 9: Power of the Master Mind. The title of this chapter set off warning bells, but it actually just refers to being able to pick the minds of others for ideas, and often sharing them in fair exchange. You remember the suggestion for surrounding yourself with people who can support you? This group should include as many smart people that you know, especially ones that you trust well enough to bounce ideas off of. Basically, find the smartest people in your life that you trust, and utilize them to help you think through your plans.
Step 10: The Mystery of Sex Transmutation. This chapter was perhaps the vaguest in the book; it advises tapping into your sex drive in order to drive yourself to further success. The book offers several tips on how to do this, but I generally feel like many of those would lead to frustration for many people rather than success. For me, the love and support of a caring partner is reallly the best spur to success that you can really have, regardless of the details of one’s sex life.
Step 11: The Subconscious Mind.Whenever you think a negative thought about your dreams, immediately and forcefully remind yourself that not only is such a thought a waste of time, it actually just pulls the dream out of your grasp. Instead, make an effort to think in positive ways about your plan, slowly training your mind to not pull up negative thoughts about achieving what you want to achieve.
Step 12: The Brain.Although the terminology is as fuzzy as can be here, the basic idea is that most people send a lot of nonverbal cues about what they’re thinking, and putting extra effort into trying to pick up on those cues can pay enormous dividends. I will say that quite often I have a terrible time with nonverbal cues that others give me - perhaps that’s why I enjoy blogging so much, because I don’t really have to worry too much about nonverbal cues.
Step 13: The Sixth Sense.Again, buried under a lot of New Age-esque terminology is a really simple idea: meditate. Simply sit back, close your eyes, and let thoughts slip away. Once your mind is empty, the chapter gives a number of things to think about, but I often find that some of my best ideas come from the moments when I really do let all of my thoughts completely slip away from me - the good ideas just appear.
The Six Ghosts of Fear. The six primary fears that fill people’s lives and keep them from being successful are poverty, criticism, ill health, lost love, old age, and death. However, if you let those constantly guide your life, you’re bound to not reach your dreams. I largely agree with this, especially if a person is single and does not have people relying on them for support - if I were single, I’d be much more willing to go through a period without health insurance to build my dreams, for example.
Buy or Don’t Buy?
More than any other book I’ve ever read, the value of Think and Grow Rich depends heavily on the reader. If a reader comes into this book seeking “help” in a get rich quick scheme, they’ll find it. If a reader comes into this book seeking guidance for how to get over a rough patch in life, they’ll find it. If a reader comes at this book needing a confidence booster for making a difficult professional leap, they’ll find it.
The problem is that this book winds up being all things to all people. The stuff Napoleon Hill talks about is merely an amplification of what you already believe and value. That’s because this book is really only about one thing: confidence. The answers for what most people need to do in their life are already in their own heads - this book is just about the confidence to get there.
So what sets it apart from The Secret? Think and Grow Rich doesn’t ever imply that merely thinking about something makes it happen - Hill repeatedly states that it’s a matter of confidence and keeping your eye on the prize, not a matter of just dreaming about it.
So, I agree with the theme behind Think and Grow Rich - the idea that self-confidence and keeping your eyes on the goal are big parts of success - but they’re only a few pieces of a much larger puzzle.
In short, if your primary challenges in life are a sense of focus and a sense of feeling that you actually can achieve your dreams, read this book - but if you’re already confident and still aren’t making it, you may need to look for other answers to solve the problems in your life. For example, my biggest challenge in life is primarily time, so I didn’t find this book to be strongly valuable.

Arnold Schwarzenegger- Mr. Infinite capabilties

There cannot be a better example have dreaming high than Arnold Schwarzenegger. When most body builders dream olympics at the maximum not enough is all Arnold's story says.
When you think big the possibilities are endless and no limits to your capability. His is such a story-
Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria (German: Thal bei Graz), a small village bordering the Styrian capital Graz, and was christened Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger.
Schwarzenegger began weight-training at 15 and is considered to be one of the most important figures in the history of bodybuilding, becoming the youngest Mr. Universe at age 20 and going on to win Mr. Olympia a total of seven times. He came to America shortly after, winning an unprecedented 12 more world bodybuilding titles. Challenging both his body and mind, he earned a college degree from the University of Wisconsin and became a U.S. citizen in 1983. Three years later he married broadcast journalist Maria Shriver.Schwarzenegger has remained a prominent face in the bodybuilding sport long after his retirement, and has written several books and numerous articles on the sport. Although he had accomplished more than any other person in the art of body-building, it was no longer a challenge. He spread the knowledge of physical fitness by writting an autobiography, Arnold:The Education of a Body-builder, which became a bestseller. He followed it with a book on body building for women- showing how women can use weight training to get in shape. He built a business out of it - to produce body building events. He was successful as a businessman too.
Now he wanted more challenge- he wanted to be a movie star. That too he wanted only to be the lead man.Initially when he started acting many of his collegues passed hurting remarks about his acting skills. Others would have given up easily- Not Arnold. He persisted until he was cast as "Conan the Barbarian". That was followed by a series of action movies until he became one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. Success leads to success as long as you believe in your capabilities- So does Arnold. After success in Movies he built many businesses like Real estate and a restaurant chain to name a few. After himself being successful he wanted to give back to the community, he travelled around the country to promote health and fitness among youth. He inspired them to give up drugs and gang culture and get themselves educated. He did not stop there,
Entered politics and won overwhelmingly in 2003 as the governor of california. And his list of achievements as governor strech long in all the california's goverment websites and media. Inspite of all this great life he stands out as a doting husband and a dear father to four kids. His life can be summed as Napolean Hill says "There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge". We need to expand our context, dream big dreams and keep on challenging our capabilities.Woow iam a fan, not of the movie star- but of this great man Arnold - A body-builder, business man, movie-star, social activist, politician, a great dad and husband.
Waiting to see what other great things will his life unfold. He clearly is an inspiring example.

Tips for great sleep

Sleep time is when our body regains its balance. When we are sleep deprived our appetite, our emotional balance etc fall apart as the hormones that regulate our blood sugar and appetite get out of control.
Getting a better night's sleep will help you lose or maintain your weight more effectively. You'll also feel more even-keeled emotionally and better able to handle the challenges of the day. Your cognitive performance will improve, including memory and creative problem-solving. Getting a good night's sleep is like sharpening your skills to meet the coming day on better grounds. Sometimes this wonderful gift from god eludes us- here are few tips to a great restful night and a double productive day.
Regularize sleeping time- Human mind loves routines, it easily puts routines to autopilot[habits]. So we need to set a time to hit the bed and stick to it everyday.Slowly our body will do it regularly and automatically. Important thing is stick to the schedule. If you dont get sleep read or listen to some slow music laying the bed.Over time it works like magic.
Also dont sleep during day time. Too much of rest is evil for both our body and soul.
Keep the day active- There has to be enough physical activity for our body for a smooth sail. Atleast some form of walking, excercising, playing. We are built for it but our sedentary lifestyles deprive us of all that.We need to run low on gas to refuel sameway we need to run down on energy to replenish by sleeping.
Eat less and two hours before sleeping time. Dont let digestion disturb falling asleep.

Slow down towards the end- Just as we need to be alert and running during the day we need to slow down towards evening. Our Body cannot abruptly move from one state to another without feeling high and dry. If you ask me,starting and ending the day should be done gradually as a ritual to appreciate life. Relax, take in the stary sky and cool breeze. No more hectic activity after 8 pm.
Stop any form of excersise two hours before the sleeping schedule. No emails, and no more TV one hour before the sleeping schedule.
Stop thinking- thoughts as powerful they are have absolute control over the body. Planning, worrying, anticipating everything usually happens as we start staring at the ceiling in the bed. This reduces falling asleep in high probability. Just before going to bed write down whatever u planned for the nextday or things that worry you or your excitement about a date during the week. Once written down delete them temprorily from memory. We can. Just stop thinking. I cant explain how, but believe me its a one step process.Just switch off ur mind.Just do it. Just stick a picture of u sleeping peacefully in ur mind. Dont let any other thoughts disturb you.
Turn down the lights- Light can suppress the production of melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate sleep. so keep the lights low as sleep time approaches.
Create the mood- Any job can be done much better in a congenial environment. Sleeping too is the same. Keeping the bedroom clean and comfy, Having calm soothing pictures stuck around, keeping lights down and playing a slow calm music- woow, nothing more. Goodbye insomnia!

Quotes by Napolean Hill

Any ideas, plan, or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought.
Before success in any man's life he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do.
Capability means imagination
Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.
It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.
Don't wait. The time will never be just right.

If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.
The world has the habit of making room for the man whose actions show that he knows where he is going.
When your desires are strong enough, you will appear to possess superhuman powers to achieve

There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge
Reduce your plan to writing. The moment you complete this, you will have definitely given concrete form to the intangible desire.
If your imagination leads you to understand how quickly people grant your requests when those requests appeal to their self-interest, you can have practically anything you go after.
When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.
No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it.
All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination, Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth.
A goal is a dream with a deadline.
Action is the real measure of intelligence.
All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea.
All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination, Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth.
Any idea, plan, or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought.
Before success comes in any man's life he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps, some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do.
Big pay and little responsibility are circumstances seldom found together.
Cherish your visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.
Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.
Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.

Quotes by Einstein

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy? All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools. Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking.
Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either. Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish. Confusion of goals and perfection of means seems, in my opinion, to characterize our age. Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater. Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school. Everyone should be respected as an individual, but no one idolized. Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. Force always attracts men of low morality. God always takes the simplest way. Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed. I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best both for the body and the mind. I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.
I think and think for months and years. Ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right. If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed. If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions. Information is not knowledge. Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death. Intellectuals solve problems, geniuses prevent them. It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education. It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
Most of the fundamental ideas of science are essentially simple, and may, as a rule, be expressed in a language comprehensible to everyone. Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.
No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong. No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.
Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.
One may say the eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility.
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile. Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding. People love chopping wood. In this activity one immediately sees results.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one. Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind. Small is the number of people who see with their eyes and think with their minds. Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.
The fear of death is the most unjustified of all fears, for there's no risk of accident for someone who's dead. The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge. The high destiny of the individual is to serve rather than to rule. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.
The only real valuable thing is intuition.
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.
The only source of knowledge is experience. The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.
The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.
The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophe.
The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.
There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle. There comes a time when the mind takes a higher plane of knowledge but can never prove how it got there.
There is no logical way to the discovery of these elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the
appearance. To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.
True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist.
We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us.
Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character. When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract,
positive thinking. When the solution is simple, God is answering. Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

Quotes by Aristotle

All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsions, habit, reason, passion, desire.

All men by nature desire knowledge.

All paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind.

All virtue is summed up in dealing justly.
Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in
the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.
At his best, man is the noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice he is the worst. Bad men are full of repentance.

Bashfulness is an ornament to youth, but a reproach to old age.

Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms.

Bring your desires down to your present means. Increase them only when your increased means permit.

Change in all things is sweet.

Character may almost be called the most effective means of persuasion.

Courage is a mean with regard to fear and confidence.

Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others.

Different men seek after happiness in different ways and by different means, and so make for themselves different modes of life and forms of government.

Dignity does not consist in possessing honors, but in deserving them.

Education is an ornament in prosperity and a refuge in adversity.

Education is the best provision for old age.

Even when laws have been written down, they ought not always to remain unaltered.

Every art and every inquiry, and similarly every action and choice, is thought to aim at some good; and for this reason the good has rightly been declared to
be that at which all things aim.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have
acted rightly.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Excellence, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean, relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of
practical wisdom would determine it. Fear is pain arising from the anticipation of evil. For though we love both the truth and our friends, piety requires us to honor the truth first. Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies. Friendship is essentially a partnership.
Good habits formed at youth make all the difference.
Happiness depends upon ourselves. He who hath many friends hath none.
He who is to be a good ruler must have first been ruled. He who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.
Hence poetry is something more philosophic and of graver import than history, since its statements are rather of the nature of universals, whereas those of
history are singulars.

Hope is a waking dream. Hope is the dream of a waking man.

I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self.

I have gained this from philosophy: that I do without being commanded what others do only from fear of the law.

If one way be better than another, that you may be sure is nature's way.

In a democracy the poor will have more power than the rich, because there are more of them, and the will of the majority is supreme.

In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.

In making a speech one must study three points: first, the means of producing persuasion; second, the language; third the proper arrangement of the various
parts of the speech.

In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge. The young they keep out of mischief; to the old they are a comfort and aid in their
weakness, and those in the prime of life they incite to noble deeds.

Inferiors revolt in order that they may be equal, and equals that they may be superior. Such is the state of mind which creates revolutions.

It is best to rise from life as from a banquet, neither thirsty nor drunken.
It is just that we should be grateful, not only to those with whose views we may agree, but also to those who have expressed more superficial views; for these
also contributed something, by developing before us the powers of thought.

It is not once nor twice but times without number that the same ideas make their appearance in the world.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. Jealousy is both reasonable and belongs to reasonable men, while envy is base and belongs to the base, for the one makes himself get good things by
jealousy, while the other does not allow his neighbour to have them through envy.

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.
Men acquire a particular quality by constantly acting in a particular way.
Men are swayed more by fear than by reverence.

Men create gods after their own image, not only with regard to their form but with regard to their mode of life.

Misfortune shows those who are not really friends.

Moral excellence comes about as a result of habit. We become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts.

Most people would rather give than get affection.

Mothers are fonder than fathers of their children because they are more certain they are their own. My best friend is the man who in wishing me well wishes it for my sake.

Nature does nothing in vain.

No one loves the man whom he fears.

No one would choose a friendless existence on condition of having all the other things in the world. Of all the varieties of virtues, liberalism is the most beloved.

Perfect friendship is the friendship of men who are good, and alike in excellence; for these wish well alike to each other qua good, and they are good in
themselves.

Personal beauty is a greater recommendation than any letter of reference. Piety requires us to honor truth above our friends. Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work. Probable impossibilities are to be preferred to improbable possibilities.

Quality is not an act, it is a habit.

Suffering becomes beautiful when anyone bears great calamities with cheerfulness, not through insensibility but through greatness of mind.

Temperance is a mean with regard to pleasures. The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.

The aim of the wise is not to secure pleasure, but to avoid pain.

The educated differ from the uneducated as much as the living from the dead.

The end of labor is to gain leisure.

The energy of the mind is the essence of life. The generality of men are naturally apt to be swayed by fear rather than reverence, and to refrain from evil rather because of the punishment that it brings
than because of its own foulness.

The gods too are fond of a joke.

The greatest virtues are those which are most useful to other persons.

The ideal man bears the accidents of life with dignity and grace, making the best of circumstances. The law is reason, free from passion. The least initial deviation from the truth is multiplied later a thousandfold. The moral virtues, then, are produced in us neither by nature nor against nature. Nature, indeed, prepares in us the ground for their reception, but their
complete formation is the product of habit. The most perfect political community is one in which the middle class is in control, and outnumbers both of the other classes. The one exclusive sign of thorough knowledge is the power of teaching. The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet. The secret to humor is surprise.

The soul never thinks without a picture.

The state is a creation of nature and man is by nature a political animal.

The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival. The virtue of justice consists in moderation, as regulated by wisdom. The whole is more than the sum of its parts.

The wise man does not expose himself needlessly to danger, since there are few things for which he cares sufficiently; but he is willing, in great crises, to
give even his life - knowing that under certain conditions it is not worthwhile to live. The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal.

The young are permanently in a state resembling intoxication.

Those that know, do. Those that understand, teach.

Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.

Those who excel in virtue have the best right of all to rebel, but then they are of all men the least inclined to do so. Thou wilt find rest from vain fancies if thou doest every act in life as though it were thy last.

To run away from trouble is a form of cowardice and, while it is true that the suicide braves death, he does it not for some noble object but to escape some ill.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.

We become just by performing just action, temperate by performing temperate actions, brave by performing brave action. We make war that we may live in peace. We must no more ask whether the soul and body are one than ask whether the wax and the figure impressed on it are one. We praise a man who feels angry on the right grounds and against the right persons and also in the right manner at the right moment and for the right length
of time.

Well begun is half done.

What it lies in our power to do, it lies in our power not to do.

Whosoever is delighted in solitude is either a wild beast or a god. Wishing to be friends is quick work, but friendship is a slow ripening fruit. Wit is educated insolence.

Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods.

You will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honor.

Youth is easily deceived because it is quick to hope.

Dreams,My dreams

Lone is the path and long the way,
"Are you mad?" is all they say
All along i saw you close
dreams,my dreams my daily dose!
I cant quit,i cant leave,
Close to my reach do lay my dreams!
"Soon i'll achieve" i say so
dreams, my dreams,my strength to go.

Long i walk the weary path,
just with a mind of wonderful thoughts,
i do fall, i do bleed,
giving up- i never heed.
Deep in my heart i know it right
all i should is keep walking straight!
I see lakes, i see meadows,
Pleanty of trees with breezy shadows
I cant stop, I cant laze,
Nor is this time for some hazy gaze
Just keep walking, my mind screams,
Strong is the pull of my magnet dreams!
Sooner oneday i'll live them
Dreams, my dreams, here i come..

Keeping up our cool

Ever thought if u be in a bomb squad? The clock is ticking. Everyone's counting on you. Which wire should you cut? While most of us never have to deal with the life-or-death dilemmas of a bomb squad, everyday situations, such as job interviews, public speaking, and family emergencies, can be every bit as stressful if we’re not accustomed to dealing with them. Learning how to remain calm in times of stress will not only make things go more smoothly immediately, it can also, over time, help you lead a healthier, happier life. Here's how to keep your cool when the pressure mounts.
Steps:
Identify the cause of your stress. Think for a moment and try to figure out what’s really bothering you.
Choose your response. Even if you’re powerless to change the source of your stress, you have the power to choose how you’ll respond to it. The appropriate response to stress should depend on what’s causing it: you can either shake off your stress (ignore it and let it go immediately) or face it head-on. Respond if it really matters, ignore if it is small stuff.
Lack of momentary control is the cause of creating criminals for the first time
How much control do you have over the situation? You can’t control the rain that’s ruining your wedding, but you can control how well you do on your algebra exam tomorrow.
Forget the past. There are lots of ghosts from past that haunt many of us, You can’t change the past, but you can respond to the present and prepare for the future. Let your past troubles fade. Shake it all off. It is beyond your control, stop worrying about it. Easier said than done? Just do it.
Take control.Inhale deeply through your nose. In your mind, count to five seconds, and then exhale slowly through your mouth, for another five seconds. Repeat this breathing pattern until you feel comfortable with it.
Think about something else. Get your mind off the stress by thinking about something that makes you happy, beautiful weather, a flower or by concentrating about the things you have planned for the day.
Visualize relaxing things, such as a deserted island or a country road. Close your eyes and try to picture even minor details about the imaginary place, and you can put yourself in that situation instead of the one you’re in. Keep a calming natural scenary you love at desk.Imagine being there, enjoying the beauty of the serenity.
Get away from the cause of the stress. If you can physically escape the stress trigger, do so. Leave the room or pull off the road for a moment to put things in perspective.
Get some exercise. Whether you go for a run, do yoga, or lift weights, 10-20 minutes of physical exercise every day can relax you even when "nothing can". Getting plenty of exercise also helps you respond better to stress in the long run.
Face your stress source head-on when you're ready. Getting stressed is not going to resolve the situation. Sitting around worrying is a good way to procrastinate, but procrastinating will only prolong or intensify the stress. Facing your stress head-on is really just a way to shake off a bad situation that you cannot or should not ignore. If you can change the outcome of a situation that matters to you, the quickest way to overcome that fear or to empower yourself is to take action as quickly as possible. Once you’ve resolved the underlying problem, you can shake off the stress because it no longer matters. If you feel paralyzed, use the steps above to relax and temporarily distance yourself from the situation just long enough to be able to see it clearly.
Make a plan. Sometimes you can resolve a stressful situation right away with one action, but often you’ll need several steps, perhaps over a long period. Write out a plan with attainable goals and a time line for reaching those goals. Additionally, many stressful situations are avoidable. If you prepare ahead of time for important events and make contingency plans, you may not have to cope with as much stress later. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Take one step at a time. A complex problem can be overwhelming, even when you’ve got your plan mapped out, but remember: the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Just focus on one small goal at a time.
Be realistic. If you continue to experience stress because no matter how hard you try you can’t take the steps quickly enough, you probably haven’t set realistic goals. In a culture that values a can-do attitude, it can be hard to accept that sometimes you can’t do something, at least not within a given period of time. If that’s the case, revise your time line or lower your expectations. If you can’t do that, the situation qualifies as one which you can’t control. Learn from your experience, but let it go.

Bob Procter Essay on EarningMoney

Topic: Its Easy to earn money
There is a very real possibility that everything you and I have been taught about how to earn money is so far from the truth that it’s almost comical. Earning money has nothing to do with age, formal education, gender or geography. It has nothing to do with past experience or your formal years of education or your level of intellect. Check it out… there are individuals who are functionally illiterate who have become multi-millionaires, while there are others who are absolutely brilliant and they are broke. Virtually anyone can be taught how to earn millions of dollars and yet the sad truth is that 97 out of every 100 people are born, live their entire lives, and die without ever learning how to earn money. To perpetuate this ridiculous problem, their ignorance is passed along from one generation to the next.
Our school system has been designed as an environment to enlighten young minds, to replace ignorance with understanding and thereby improve the quality of life. Our educational system has obviously been successful in many areas. However, it has woefully neglected one important subject, “How to Earn Money.” You can earn a doctorate degree in economics and have little or no knowledge of how to earn money. A lack of understanding in this area is the cause of numerous unwanted and unnecessary problems, since money is the medium of exchange that is used worldwide for other people’s products and services.
There has always been a small, select group, approximately 3% of our population, who clearly understand that prosperity consciousness is the primary cause of wealth and their prosperity consciousness, like ignorance, is also passed down from one generation to the next.
Let’s look at “money.” What is it? Money is a reward you receive for the service you render. The more valuable the service, the greater the reward. Thinking of ways we can be of greater service will not only help us earn more money, it will also enable us to grow intellectually and spiritually.
Money Is An Idea
The paper you fold and place in your purse or pocket is not money. It is paper with ink on it. It represents money, but it is not money. Money is an idea. The earning of money has nothing to do with the paper stuff. It has to do with consciousness.
I am aware there are books that instruct you on how to manipulate the market, stocks and people… they might even help you get money. But, let me caution you… when there is no spiritual growth… there is no spiritual strength… there is no lasting happiness… and, there is no real or lasting wealth.
To accumulate wealth, a person must become very comfortable with the idea of money. That may sound strange, however most people are not comfortable with the idea of money, which is why they do not have any. The cause of poverty is poverty consciousness. A poverty consciousness will cause a person to see, hear, smell, think and feel… lack and limitation.
The late Mike Todd said, “Being broke is a temporary situation. Being poor is a mental state.”
He was correct. There are wealthy people who lose every cent they have through a series of mistakes in judgment… but that does not make them poor. They will have it all back in a short time because of their prosperity consciousness.
If you have any question in your mind regarding your level of consciousness with respect to money, be very honest with yourself and look at your results. Study the patterns in your life.
If you want to improve your financial position in life, focus your attention on creating a higher level of prosperity consciousness. Begin by preparing a powerful, positive affirmation and fuel it with emotion. When you do this, you are depositing this creative energy in the treasury of your sub-conscious mind. And, by repeating this process over and over and over again every day, it will begin to alter your conditioning and mentally move you in the direction you want to go. Write it out, read it, feel it, and let it take hold of your mind.
How much money do you want? Saying you want more is not good enough. Five dollars is more. How much more? Decide on a figure. Be specific. You will not seriously want more money than you are capable of earning… however, you would be wise to remember, you must earn it.
There Are Three Income Earning Strategies
Trading time for money – By far the worst of the three income earning strategies, it is employed by approximately 96% of our population – doctors, lawyers, accountants, laborers, etc. There is an inherent problem with this strategy – saturation. You run out of time. If a person accumulates any degree of wealth employing this strategy, it will be at the expense of a life. They compromise on the car they drive, the house they live in, the clothes they choose and the vacations they take. They rarely, if ever, get what they want.
Investing money to earn money – This strategy is used by approximately 3% of the population. The number is small for the obvious reason – very few people have any money to invest. Many people who effectively employ this strategy follow the advice of a trusted, knowledgeable advisor.
Leveraging yourself to earn money – This is where you multiply your time through the efforts of others by setting up Multiple Sources of Income (MSI). This is, without question, the very best way to increase your income. Make a decision to have many sources of income; it’s the strategy that wealthy people have used dating clear back to the ancient Babylonians. Unfortunately, this strategy is only used by approximately 1% of our population, yet that 1% earns approximately 96% of all the money that is earned! You are only a decision away from membership.
Once you determine how much money you want to earn, write it down on a sheet of paper in large figures. Look at the number with the dollar sign beside it and tell yourself over and over again: That Amount of Money is an Effect. It Represents a Reward that I Want to Receive. What Service Can I Render that Would be Deserving of that Reward?
You can take the total figure and divide it into multiple parts. Each part would represent a source of income. Each source of income represents a separate reward that you would receive for a service you would render.
Work on one source of income at a time; each one can become an exciting part of your life. What you are actually doing is thinking of different ways you can be of service to others.
Think of how you can do whatever you do – more effectively.
Think of how you can improve the quality and quantity of service you render.
Think of how you can help people in a greater way.
Money is the ultimate servant. The more you earn, the more you can help others.
